Calendar content
Selected files, pasted text, event titles, descriptions, locations and tool settings are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to CalPorter. The site does not load third-party analytics, fonts or advertising scripts. It does not connect to Google, Apple or Microsoft calendar accounts.
Basic usage counters
First-party usage messages include an event name, a known page path, an allowlisted source category derived from a referring host or URL source tag, a random identifier for the current page load, the public host and flags used to exclude the owner and automated browsers. They never include file names, file content or form values.
The server sees the network address and user agent as part of an HTTP request. It uses a secret keyed hash of those values and the UTC date to estimate distinct visitor-days. Raw IP addresses and user-agent strings are not stored by the application. The hash changes daily; deduplication records are removed after two days. Anonymous counters and exclusion totals are retained for up to 400 days. Application request logs are disabled. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, still processes network requests under its own policies.
What a “human visitor” means here
Known bots, HTTP clients, QA requests, owner opt-outs, browser automation flags, prefetch requests and nonpublic hosts are excluded. A visible page must run JavaScript before a browser-confirmed visit is counted; a trusted browser interaction is additionally required for an engaged visitor-day. This is a practical estimate, not proof of personhood. Sophisticated automation and missing referrers remain measurement limits.
Browser storage and opting out
A localStorage flag and the cookie sx=1 remember an analytics opt-out. Session storage keeps only the coarse source bucket for the current tab. No calendar content is saved in browser storage. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track also suppress usage messages when the browser exposes them.
Exclude this browser from counting · Undo that opt-out. Changes apply to this browser on this domain. If browser storage is blocked, the URL opt-out still applies to the current page.
Downloads and sharing
Downloads are created locally. Files you save remain on your device until you remove them. If you share a resulting calendar, its recipients receive the remaining content. A busy-only calendar still reveals dates and patterns; inspect it before sharing.
Questions about personal data
CalPorter has no account system or stored calendar library. Because daily hashes are short-lived and are not linked to a name or account, the application cannot look up a person’s calendar or historical browsing record. This page will change if the data handling changes.
